Gau lives in the Veldt, a vast land which is the home of many monster. His father was a crazy man living near the Veldt, and when Gau was born, his father thought he was a monster child and abandonned him in the Veldt.

Gau managed to survive on his own, and learned to adapt the monsters' way of life. He is able to learn the skills of monsters through observation. Without much of a education, Gau cannot speak coherently.

Gau is easily excited, and he is always looking for food. To get him to join your party, you must have some dried meat to feed him with, or else he'll run away =)

I never used Gau because I'm lazy to stay in the Veldt and have him leap at a bunch of different monster =) He doesn't have an Attack command, so if you don't spend time 'Leaping' (hehe), he is pretty much useless.
