Strago is an old citizen of Thamasa. Even though he is seventy years old, he never likes to admit and accept his old age =) He get really frustrated when people treat him like an old man.

When he was young, he used to go monster-hunting with his friend Gungho, the current mayor of Thamasa. Like other Thamasians, he inherited magic power from his ancestors, the Mage Warriors. He is a Blue Mage, one that can learn magic spells from watching monsters. He called these magic spells 'Lore'.

Although he is not Relm's biological grandfather, he treats her like his real granddaughter, even though Relm tends to drive him crazy at times =)

In the World of Ruins Kefka managed to capture Strago, and brainwashed him. He became a mindless worshipper of Kefka, and spent day and night marching in the Fanatic's Tower with other Kefka worshipper. Only the voice of a loved one can bring him back to senses....

Strago is one of the character that I rarely use. He's strong in magic and weak in normal attack, and I'm never a fan of Blue Magic anyways..... ( except in FF8 - Quistis' Blue Magic is probably the second best skill of the game ^_^ )
