Here's the source for all the images found in this site. I would like to thank each site for the images they provide. All other images that are not listed here are taken by me.

For FF6 images, character sketches and the FF6 logo are taken from ~The GIA~. SD images are taken from ~The Final Fantasy III/VIj Domain~.

For FF7, character art, disc change images, some battle screenshots used for the Limit page and the FF7 logo are taken from ~The GIA~. Other battle screenshots used on the Limit page are taken from ~Videogames.com~ and ~The Final Fantasy~. Character menu portrait scans are taken from ~The Final Fantasy VII Domain~. SD images are taken from ~Evelyn's FF7 Website~. 3D character poses are taken from ~RPGamer~.

For FF8, animations are taken from ~Section D~. Some of the character menu portraits, FF8 logo, and character poses are taken from ~The GIA~.

For FF9, offical artwork are taken from ~psx.ign.com~ and ~The GIA~.

The creation of this site started at October 1999. It was first intended to cover FF6-FF8, but I added FF9 around May 2000 just for the heck of it =) The site was first named 'Galaxy of Fantasy', which looked a lot different than what it is now, with black background and all...then I changed the design, and since the background isn't black anymore, the site doesn't look like a 'galaxy', so I changed it to 'The Fantasy Garden' =) ( Garden being the other word starting with 'G' that I can think of, and it has no relation to the 'Garden' in FF8 ^_^ ) About half a year later, I changed the layout again, and seeing that there was another FF site called 'The Fantasy Garden', I changed the name ( again ) to Desert Garden. The name was inspired by the song 'Desert Rose' and also the fanfic 'Desert of Life' which I was writing at that time =)

The offical launch date of this site is November 23rd, 2000.

The link images, title banners, wallpapers, etc. are created using Paint Shop Pro 5.0. I don't own Photoshop and I didn't like Paint Shop Pro 6.0 =) The pages itself are created with Notepad, with all HTML codes typed out from scratch.

The Frame version of this site is optimized for 800 x 600 + resolution with Internet Explorer 4.0 or higher. I use Internet Explorer 5, so everything is tested for IE 5. The Non-Frame version will work for 640 x 480 resolution. The font used in this site is Verdana or Arial.

~Version 0.0 : Galaxy of Fantasy~ - never released
Although this version was completed and was ready to go, it was never released to the world wide web, as I changed the layout to The Fantasy Garden. This version featured 'talking' characters guiding you through the site, but the HTML code behind it was sorta messy and updating it is troublesome, so I ended up abandoning the layout, and it was never released to the public.

~Version 1.0 : The Fantasy Garden~ - released 11/23/00
I switched from using tables to using frames since it was easier to modify. I wanted something easy on the eyes, so I greyscaled almost all of the in-site graphics to give it a 'softer' look. This is the first layout to be released to the web. Overall, I'm happy with this layout. The only problem with it was that it didn't look good for resolution greater than 800 x 600.

~Version 2.0 : Desert Garden~ - released 06/01/01
I went through a number of designs before coming to this layout. Again, just something simple, with more colours this time :) The reason I needed a change was to solve the higher res problem, and the file managing behind The Fantasy Garden was getting messy. Also, I wanted to change the name 'The Fantasy Garden', so a new layout was needed =) With the release of this layout MANET was also released.

~Version 3.0 : Desert Garden~ - released 06/19/00 - Current Version
I got tired of Version 2 fairly quickly...so I did a new one :) This version uses a lot of onmouseover effects and gradient squares for navigation....I really liked this layout, but it looks really horrible in Netscape >_<

ie, the point of this site. Why add another FF site to the ever growing online FF community? Well, the thing is, I've seen many, many great FF site that this site would never come close to matching up to, but I find that most of these sites concentrate mostly on news and information. While these are informative, there are just too many sites providing the same type of info, and concentrate their sites on too much of the same thing. With this site, I'm hoping to bring something a little more than just info. I wanted to provide visitors with media that they would want to see, and also provide sufficient amount of info on the game for people that are still playing the game and would like some sort of a guide. I wanted to enhance visitors' enjoyment of the FF series, and this site aims to do that. Whether it may be successful or not, I may never know, but I would continue to do my best to do what I intend to do ^^
